When the Zenn Hotel Erdenet — Mongolia’s landmark 5-star property in Orkhon Province — required a trusted manufacturing partner to furnish all 28 guest rooms, they chose Shangdian Hotel Furniture. Scope: From Design to Delivery
The project scope covered the complete interior furnishing of all 28 rooms, including custom bedroom furniture, fixed wall joinery panels, soft seating, and a bespoke carpet program. All items were manufactured in-house at Shangdian’s 50,000 sqm Foshan factory, with dedicated production zones for wood case goods, upholstery, metal fabrication, and soft furnishings. The hotel’s distinctive design aesthetic — featuring warm cream tones, rose-gold metalwork, and vivid blue-and-orange custom carpets — was faithfully translated from design intent into production reality through a rigorous shop-drawing confirmation process.
The Carpet: A Signature Design Element
Among the most visually impactful elements of the Zenn Hotel Erdenet project is the custom Axminster-style carpet, featuring a sweeping abstract composition in cobalt blue, burnt orange, and pearl white. This carpet was produced in Shangdian’s specialist soft furnishings facility, with pattern registration carefully managed to ensure continuity across the full width of each guest room. The result is a striking, hotel-exclusive floor covering that would be impossible to source off-the-shelf.
Furniture Construction: Quality for Hospitality Durability
All wooden case goods — including TV wall panels, wardrobes, bedside tables, and writing desks — were manufactured using plywood substrates faced with premium veneers and laminates, consistent with international 5-star hotel furniture standards. Metal components, including desk and table frames, were fabricated from brushed stainless steel finished in a rose-gold PVD coating for visual consistency across all room types. All upholstered items — headboards, sofas, lounge chairs, and ottomans — use high-density foam rated for commercial hospitality use, with anti-fouling fabric treatment applied as standard.
